Chronology of cameras Burke and James
The Korelle-Reflex was one of the first 6 x 6 cm single-lens camera with reflex viewfinder and focal plane curtain type shutter. This one goes from 2 seconds to 1/500 plus B. It is equipped with a elf timer, while there was none on the Reflex Korelle I (this is the only difference).
The presented model was manufactured in the USA by the company Burke and James following an agreement with the German company. On the American market we found at the time the Reflex I and II. Each one was available with various lenses.
The Korelle-Reflex I with a Schneider Kreuznach Radionar 2.9 / 75mm worth 82.50 USD in 1938. The Korelle-Reflex II with the same lens worth 115 USD.
The two versions shared the same screw mount lenses and the same accessories.
